Superintendent Willie Lee Smith Jr
Willie Lee Smith Jr a native of the Bronx, New York was born Feb 23, 1965. He met his beautiful wife Lisa in Panama City, Florida. They later married on December 28, 1984. Bless with six children: Latoya, Joseph, David, Jennifer, Daniel and Joshua. Supt. Smith was enlisted in the Army from 1984 to 1987.
In 1987 he accepted his call into the ministry. Pastor Willie Smith was ordained in 1991 by Bishop Charles Blake, and accepted his appointment as Pastor of Freewill COGIC June 1, 1999. In year of 2000, Bishop Nathanial Jones appointed Pastor Smith to the position of Superintendent of the New Hope District.
Many people have been blessed, encouraged, delivered, and set free through his ministry including the prayer line which was established in 2009. Many people have testified of their blessing through the power of prayer.
The Lord has continually blessed his ministry through organized outreach events, which positively have impacted the city of Barstow. In 2012 Supt Smith was awarded a Plaque by the Major of Barstow for his community efforts.
July 2013, Supt. Willie Smith initiated the the Home Bible study program. Five study groups have been organized to lead, teach, and encourage family members, friends, and neighbors to join in studying God's word in a home setting.
In December 2013 Supt. Smith was able to purchase a bus to launch the bus ministry to service those in the community who needed transportation to church service.
After many years of being out of School Pastor pursued and achieved his Health Administration degree (AA), Bachelor of Science Religion, and Doctor of Arts in Theology.
In January 2016 Pastor Smith was led by the Lord to refine the ministry by focusing more on the needs of the community spiritual and natural which in turn has taken the ministry to another level. Also in this year Supt. Willis Smith became founder and pastor of the high desert Community outreach C.O.G.IC. International.
January 26, 2020, Supt. W. L Smith was blessed to become the Administrator Assistant to the bishop.
